The long-awaited mod DLC Farewell of The White Wolf has finally been released (available on Nexus), and with it, we are faced with some choices – as we expect from Witcher games. This guide will help you choose which one of Ciri’s romances in Farewell of the White Wolf you prefer. Our guide for the three different endings is already available, and so is our guide for the choice of the quest The Shadow over Dunkeld

SPOILER WARNING FOR THE PLOT OF “THE WITCHER: FAREWELL OF THE WHITE WOLF”

It’s Geralt and Yennefer who are getting married, but that doesn’t mean only they can find love. Ciri also has some romance options in the new game, and it’s up to you to choose who she’ll end up with. So, buckle up and check out your options – and how to achieve them.

Hjalmar

It is possible to have Ciri ending up with Hjalmar – who, in the universe of The Farewell to the White Wolf, is the brother of Queen Cerys of Skellige. His route is the easiest one to achieve, as the events that allow it to unfold automatically during the game. On the morning of the wedding, Ciri and Hjalmar will meet and recall their old childhood stories. During the conversation, the young Skelliger will approach Ciri, who may or may not reciprocate his feelings.

Will they kiss? It´s up to you!

To start a relationship with Hjalmar, just choose to kiss him at this moment. That way, you’ll confirm you’re interested in him and the rest of the story will follow accordingly, including their distant future, where the two will get married. If you refuse his kiss, the other two options become possible.

Galahad

This may come out as a surprise, but it is possible to see the return of the young Sir Galahad – introduced in the book Lady of the Lake – in Farewell of the White Wolf. However, unlike Hjalmar, it is necessary to make some specific choices to have him and Ciri ending up together.

First, in one of the game’s initial scenes, Ciri goes to Malus Island to find a wedding gift for her parents. As she explores the island, she will remember her past at Camelot and ask if she should go back there – to ensure that Galahad is an option, you need to choose “I’ll think about it”, which will make Ciri mention her interest to return to Camelot in a future scene. If the choice “It’s too late now” is selected, you will not be visiting King Arthur’s land.

This choice will be important in the scene with Hjalmar, mentioned above. To ensure that Galahad is an option, one must reject Hjalmar’s kiss. After telling the young man that she is not interested, Ciri will teleport to Camelot (this only happens if the correct choice is made on the Isle of Malus). After exploring Camelot, Ciri will find Galahad again and they will have a moment together – similar to what happens with Hjalmar. Likewise, just kiss Galahad to set them up, and from here on Ciri’s path is linked to that of the knight.

Will they or won´t they? You choose!

For the sake of curiosity, if Ciri chooses to go to Camelot and be with Hjalmar, when she arrives at King Arthur’s castle she learns that Galahad died in an attack by the Wild Hunt. That is, there is no turning back on your romantic choices.

Single and ready to mingle

Of course, you can also choose to leave the Swallow free. To do this, simply reject the kisses of both Hjalmar and Galahad (or even choose not to return to Camelot). Thus, she will have no romantic date for the wedding and in her distant future.
